After completing an M.A. in Counselling Psychology, Shoshana worked for many years with distressed families and children in the Special Services to Children Program run by the Vancouver Association of Neighborhood Houses.
She then completed a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology at the University of British Columbia, with a clinical sub-specialty in Play Therapy. Her doctoral mentor and advisor was Dr. John Allan, a prominent child psychotherapist and a leader in the field of play therapy in North America.
Since making aliya in 1992, Shoshana has worked in child treatment, in a non-profit society helping special needs children, and in her private play therapy practice since 2000.
